Life Line
You were
there, and saw what I did
You had to stand helplessly ashore
There were so many others, you just blended in
Until I couldn't see you anymore
You
screamed my name as loud as you could
Jumping high and waving your arms
You'd begged me to not make the same mistake twice
Needing to keep me from any more harm
You're
there, desperately hurling the line
But I've drifted away so far
The life line is still way out of reach
Even though we're both trying so hard
I'm
swimming back now, as fast as I can
Back to the time where I was once before
When I reach my line, and you pull me in
I will never ask of you anything more.
